A Pan-Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-political association, Conference of Igbo Professionals Worldwide, (COIPOW), said it has initiated an escalated crusade with arrangement of meeting and campaigning, to empower the South-East district produce the following president in 2023.
The gathering, in any case, communicated worry that the arrangement of a security outfit by the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, would ruin the arrangement as most pioneers from different zones would see it in an awful light and pull out their help.
COIPOW’s National President, Prof. Patrick Kalu, and National Secretary, Dr Uche Mbaka, in an assertion yesterday, portrayed the Security Network as Illegal, and engaged the individuals of the district not to pay attention to Kanu and his security structure.
Prof Kalu stated: “We wish to communicate our significant gratefulness to the key Igbo pioneers who went to our just closed crisis meeting in Akwa, Anambra State, where we thought and conceded to pushing for Igbo administration come 2023.
“This is the certain best approach and not the way the acclaimed pioneer IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, needs, through the barrel of the weapon. The gunpoint approach by Mr Kanu is absolutely not the exit plan and he should be told so boisterous and clear.
“We can’t be requesting leader of Nigeria on one hand, and then again, supporting IPOB which is as a rule falsely financed by Kanu and his representatives to destabilize a unified Nigeria through end and an equal security association.”
