Affan Abuya, an aide to the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Prof. Ibrahim Pantami, has dissociated the minister from campaign posters announcing his presidential ambition.
He attributed them (the posters) to the handiwork of the minister’s detractors.
Sources have claimed that the minister may be interested in the governorship seat in the state following his strong links in the Presidency and his stronghold on Izalla, an Islamic group known for its active participation in who becomes the state governor.
Following some posters trending on social media, our correspondent contacted Abuya for comment.
The minister’s aide however disowned the posters, attributing them to the handiwork of the minister’s detractors.
He noted that the poster didn’t emanate from Pantami’s camp.
“They are fake from enemies,” Abuya said.
When asked whether his principal is interested in contesting the next governorship election in the state, he declined to comment.
