2023: Peter Obi calls for prayers for Nigeria

Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has asked the Church to pray for the election of a president who will use public funds for the benefit of the public.

This was said by Obi at the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN)’s 17th Biennial Conference in Yenagoa.

He said that Nigeria had gone through a lot, and he said that the country had stayed together because of the prayers of the Church.

He stated, ” As we gather, I would like to request prayer points and ask for your prayers for Nigeria.

“As we approach the election, my prayer points are that God Almighty will ensure that Nigeria elects someone with character, competence, and respect for our religious rights.

“May God continue to influence politicians to use public funds for the benefit of the public.

“I do not believe Nigeria would be where it is today if not for prayers; Nigeria has endured conditions that no other nation has ever experienced and is still standing, and only your prayers can save us.

He added, “Please do remember your country in your prayers.”

Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Bishop David Oyedepo, two well-known members of the clergy, are present at the PFN 17th National Biennial Conference.
