The wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Remi Tinubu, stated on Wednesday that the Muslim-Muslim ticket offered by the party is the most suitable for Nigeria at the present time.
At the APC South-West Women presidential rally in Lagos, Tinubu made the statement that the country would also see a Christian/Christian ticket in the future.
Since Tinubu chose Kashim Shettima, a former governor of Borno State, as his running mate for the election in 2023, the ruling party has received a lot of criticism, especially from Christians.
She stated, As we kick off the Tinubu/Shettima Women’s Presidential Campaign in the South-West, we are delighted to welcome you all.
“We are aware that our outstanding leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, has established the appropriate foundation for progressive governance. As regards the Muslim/Muslim ticket, this one will set the tone for the future. He has been responsive, progressive, and completely committed to the needs of the people, particularly women and children. We will eventually offer a Christian/Christian ticket. God has done something amazing in our land.
