Adamu Garba, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), claims that former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Elder statesman Edwin Clark backed Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, because they could easily force him to do what they wanted.
Garba also said that the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar got the support of the elites because they knew he could share the country with them.
On Monday, he made the claims in a post under his verified Twitter handle.
He said that Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, has the support of young people because they know he will protect their future.
He wrote, “Obi is supported by elders like Edwin Clark, Obasanjo, and others because they know he can be bullied to do their errands.”
Elites back Atiku because they believe he can unite the country.
Tinubu is supported by young people because we believe he can safeguard our nation’s future.
