On Monday, Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje called on the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, to stage a rally in the State to gauge his popularity.
Ganduje was talking about the large number of people who attended the APC presidential rally for Bola Tinubu earlier on Monday in the State.
The Governor claims that the APC now has many of Kwankwaso’s followers.
On Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday evening, Ganduje stated, “So, if Kwankwaso thinks that he can win the party, let him hold a march like this and compare what will happen if he can do so.”
Ganduje also questioned Ibrahim Shekarau’s political relevance, noting that he was switching parties frequently and losing a lot of his supporters.
The Governor stated that no one knows what Shekarau will do next and that he believes that Shekarau has left the majority of his followers in the All Progressives Congress and the NNPP.
