Abba Kyari: I received no extradition request from FBI, says IGP

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba says, he is yet to receive an extradition request from the U.S based Federal Bureau of Investigation, (FBI), on DCP Abba Kayri.

FBI had in July 2021 requested for the extradition of Kyari over the cop’s indictment in a $1.1million cyber fraud involving internet fraudster, Abass Ramon, also known as ‘Hushppuppi’.

IGP Alkali said the force has, however, received legal advice from the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation, on the next step to be taken on the matter.

On the security situation in the Southeast and Northwest, IGP Alkali said, the police is doing everything to improve on the current situation.
