SAHARANEWS – The last has not been heard of the staff of INEC nabbed with 10,000 PVCs and other sensitive materials in Umuahia.
The lady who was identified as Ifeoma was intercepted by the police while attempting to cart away over 10,000 PVCs from the electoral body’s office in Umuahia.
The lady during interrogation implicates the Electoral Officer in charge of Ikwuano LGA, where she also works, Mr Emeka.
Eye-witness account said the E.O. who identified the suspect as INEC staff tried to push the impounded car containing the PVCs into the INEC office but was prevented by the police.
SaharaNews learnt that both suspects have been taken to the CPS where their statements were taken and subsequently detained.
Rumour making rounds has it that certain political bigwigs are demanding the lady’s release.
