2019 Elections: See Full List Of Elected Governors And Their Parties As Released By INEC

SAHARANEWS – The 2019 general elections have come and gone, and winners have been declared. Recall that the governorship election which was earlier billed to hold on March 2, was later shifted to March 9 by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, citing “logistics issues” as the reason for the shift.



However, SaharaNews reports that while some states held her governorship and states house of assembly election on March 9, others were declared “inconclusive” and a rerun/supplementary poll was later held on Saturday March 23.

Some of the affected states include Rivers, Adamawa, Bauchi, Plateau, Sokoto, Benue and Kano. While the results for some of these states have been declared and a winner returned, that of Rivers, Adamawa and Bauchi States are still undecided.



SaharaNews has compiled the full list of governors elected so far from the March 9 and March 23 governorship election.

It’s observed that the poll held in 29 states, as 7 other states do not have elections until 2020 and beyond. For instance, while that of Osun held in 2018, the guber poll in Edo state will hold next year, 2020 following the last election that brought in Godwin Obaseki as governor in 2016.
