Former Governor of Abia State and Senator-elect for Abia North district, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Thursday met with Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan behind closed doors in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
Details of the meeting is still sketchy as at press time. SaharaNews, however, gathered that it may not be unconnected with the ninth Assembly Leadership.
SaharaNews recalls that Kalu, winner of the March 23 National Assembly election for Abia North Senatorial district, has on several occasions called on the leadership of his party, the APC to zone the Deputy Senate President position to South East zone.
Lawan on the other hand, is the adopted candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress for the position of Senate President of the incoming ninth National Assembly.
