BREAKING: Nigerian security agents burn Imo community, kill civilians

Government forces razed at least 22 houses in a raid on Amaeze Amurie Omanze in Isu Local Government Area of ​​Imo State.

It is feared that some civilians were killed in the attack which began in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to residents who fled the area, the Nigerian forces who carried out the attack alleged that the community had a hiding place for suspected gunmen.

“They shot and took away many people and burned the houses,” said a resident who spoke to Oak Metro by phone.

Another local said the attack was still ongoing when he fled the community.

“My family and I have left the community, they burned down my house and many other houses in our community,” he said.

State forces have not comment on the latest incident which left many displaced.
