BREAKING:Brother was shot live on television in India by an ex-parliamentarian.

Atiq Ahmed, a former Indian parliamentarian, and his brother were shot dead on live television on Saturday while answering questions from reporters in India.

According to the BBC, the deceased had been found guilty of kidnapping and was being escorted by police when a gun was pulled close to his head in Prayagraj, also known as Allahabad.

He claimed that the police threatened his life before he died.

Three men who had been posing as journalists were quickly taken into custody after the shots were fired on Saturday night.

The three thought aggressors had shown up at the site on bikes, the police said.

At the scene, a journalist and a policeman were also hurt.

Days earlier, the police shot and killed the teen son of the deceased.

Over the past two decades, Mr. Ahmed has been the subject of a number of criminal proceedings, including kidnapping, extortion, and murder. A nearby court condemned him and two others to life in prison in Spring this year in a capturing case.

Video showed Mr. Ahmed and his brother, Ashraf, speaking to journalists in handcuffs on their way to a hospital for a medical check-up just before they were both shot.

His final words in the video, which was widely circulated on social media and television networks, were in response to the question of whether he had attended the funeral of his son.

Mr. Ahmed stated, “They did not take us, so we did not go.”

The Main Pastor of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath requested a legal test into the killings and prohibited huge get-togethers in the regions of Uttar Pradesh state to guarantee harmony.
