BREAKING:FG Bans Sim Card Importation

The Federal Government of Nigeria has restricted the importation of supporter personality module (SIM) cards.

Pastor of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami made the declaration on Monday in Oniru, Lagos.

He talked at the Nigerian Telecommunications Indigenous Content Expo (NTICE) coordinated by the Nigeria Office for Developing Indigenous Telecoms Sector (NODITS) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Pantami said Africa’s greatest nation ought not be bringing in things that could be created inside.

“Allow me to clarify that the national government will never again endure the importation of sim cards. We are currently creating them in Nigeria.

“Our point is to increment native substance in the ICT area so that by 2025, we will be confident by no less than 80%”, the pastor noted.
