BREAKING:Fire guts Nodu Okpuno Mata froth stop in Anambra

This information was made available to Onitsha-based journalists in a statement that was signed by Mr. Martin Agbili, Director/Fire Chief of the Anambra Fire Service.

He claims that the Anambra State Fire Service received a distress call about a fire outbreak at the Mata foam depot in NODU, Okpuno, around 5.39 p.m.

“We immediately sent our brave firefighters and our fire truck to the fire scene.

He stated, “The fire fighting operation was very successful due to our ability to fight, stop, control, and extinguish the fire to a standstill.”

They were able to save a lot of mattresses in the depot, according to the fire chief.

“We also saved every residential home in the area around the fire scene.”

“We want to use this medium to express our gratitude to the general public for their assistance during the operation and to those who called us,” the company said.

Agbili emphasized that the peak of harmattan occurs in January and February, when the state typically experiences a significant number of fire outbreaks. NAN)
