The Imo State Government has given merchants at the old Owerri Timber market (Ogba Osisi) Wetheral street, a four-week final offer to leave.
The final proposal was given on Monday through the General Manager of the Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA), Engr. Francis Onyedikachi Chukwu, during a normal examination with his group.
Chukwu said the Imo State Government delineated a long-lasting site for the merchants at Naze Timber market, Owerri North LGA.
He said their visit at the old Owerri Timber market is making obstacle the end-all strategy of the capital city.
The GM begged them to hold fast to the request, as inability to move in the following one month will add up to them losing their products.
OCDA said that it was basic for government to do the needful to clean the state and deflect risk to life and property.
