BREAKING:Kano boils, 60 arrested, 3 vehicles burnt, many injured

No fewer than 63 suspects have been apprehended by men from the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, or NSCDC, following fights between supporters of opposing political parties on Zaria Road in Kano State.

During the clashes, supporters of the rival party used dangerous weapons, burning three cars and smashing another. Numerous other injuries were confirmed.

Yesterday, Ibn Abdullahi, the state Public Relations Officer of the Civil Defense in Kano, confirmed the arrest by saying, ” We have detained approximately 63 suspected criminals who were causing disruptions to public order, wielding lethal weapons, torching vehicles, and stealing mobile phones from individuals.

He stated, “They are going to be investigated and brought to court for prosecution.”

Keep in mind that the All Progressives Congress, or APC, plans to: The police command in Kano had advised the political parties to suspend all political rallies to prevent violent clashes after they failed to reach an agreement. The New Nigeria Peoples Party, or NNPP, and the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, were planning to hold a rally.
