FCT Residents Express Frustration, Allege Bribery At PVC Registration Centres

Occupants of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have communicated disappointment over the enrollment interaction for the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) at certain focuses.

Because of grumblings by inhabitants, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) opened 14 new enrollment communities across the city to facilitate the interaction.

Notwithstanding, grumblings of negligible coordination and postpone in the process have persevered even at the new enrollment places.

At the Government Secondary School (GSS) in Wuse Zone 3 on Tuesday, tempers were frayed as occupants remained in line for the enrollment.

Many said they had held up hours without gaining ground, while others let The ICIR know that authorities completing the enlistment declared that main 100 individuals would be enrolled day to day.

Portraying the cycle as drawn-out, a city occupant, Andrew Habila, described his experience to The ICIR.

“The cycle is drawn-out. I have been here since 7:00 am nevertheless I have not even gathered the structure. You can see the line is extremely lengthy and many are still outside.

“They gave us a paper to list our names, which we did. We are still on the line holding back to check whether we can get the structures. They said it is just hundred every day. I’m number 82,” he said.
