If you link us to Autopilot and Ekpa, we will meet in court—IPOB warns Nigerian media outlets.

On Thursday, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) issued a warning that any media organization that makes a connection between Simon Ekpa, who is based in Finland, and the group will face legal action.

This was IPOB’s response to Ekpa’s claim that the Igbo community in Lagos state will practice sit-at-home.

He said this after some of the Balogun market was destroyed, claiming that Igbo traders in Lagos had been set on fire.

Reacting stated that the planned sit-at-home order did not originate from IPOB in a statement released by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful.

IPOB said, “The central infiltrator in Finland has been overlooked by Biafrans in his thoughtless sit-at-homes in the East; Perhaps he believes that Ndigbo in Lagos will be so stupid to follow his sit-at-home instruction. We are aware of our people’s wisdom.

“Any media outlet in Nigeria, whether print or online, that makes the error of identifying Simon Ekpa and “autopilot” as IPOB members or Mazi Nnamdi Kanu disciples once more must be prepared to meet us in the courts starting today; This is enough!

“We have made it open to all media groups to stop linking Simon Ekpa and his cohorts and autopiloters group to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB movement.” We are now ready to take the situation seriously.

The media must draw attention to Simon Ekpa and the Autopilot Group’s actions rather than linking them to IPOB.

“IPOB is a different development driven by Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Autopilot group or Simon Ekpa are on their own. We are distinct individuals.

“We are a peaceful movement seeking Biafra’s freedom through a UN-supervised referendum,” the group says.
