JUST IN: I will sell looted properties to ensure they are not returned – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, said he will sell all proceeds of corruption to ensure they are not returned to those who looted the treasury when he leaves office.

The president, who spoke at the APC presidential campaign rally in Kaduna, said this was to avoid what happened after he was removed from office as military head of state.

He recalled that of the set of politicians apprehended by his government at that time, only the then Minister of Education, Billy Aminu and Malam Adamu Ciroma were not found wanting.

President Buhari asked the people to remember the state he met the country in when he assumed office as president and asked them to do justice to the APC in the next elections.

The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, on his part, derided the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who he said begged to be issued a visa to visit the United States for 12 years.
