SAHARANEWS – The National Judicial Council (NJC) on Monday issued fresh query to the embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen.
It had reconvened on Monday in an emergency meeting to consider the responses of Justice Onnoghen and Justice Muhammad, acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, to the three petitions written against them.
But after deliberations, members of the apex judicial body resolved to constitute a Preliminary Complaints Assessment Committee in accordance with Regulation 17 of the National Judicial Council Judicial Discipline Regulations 2017 and report to council on February 13, 2019.
