Qatar 2022: After Croatia lost 3-0 to Argentina in the semi-final, Modric singles out one person.

Luka Modric, a Croatia midfielder, has criticized referee Daniele Orsato following his team’s 3-0 loss to Argentina in the World Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

During Croatia’s match with Argentina, Modric claimed that Orsato did not award Croatia a corner or a penalty.

At the Lusail Stadium, Argentina prevailed over Croatia thanks to a goal from Lionel Messi and a pair of goals from Julian Alvarez.

“It wasn’t going to happen, but hey, we have to come back and try to win the match for third place. We are sad because we desired to compete in another final. During his post-match press conference, Modric stated, “We must congratulate Argentina.”

The Genuine Madrid star added, “We were fine, controlling the game and this corner that the arbitrator didn’t give us and the punishment, which for me wasn’t one, made a huge difference. The Argentine shot into our goalkeeper, who collided with him and went after him. I can’t believe he gave that penalty.

This slightly alters the game. However, we cannot alter it; we must recover and attempt to win the following game.
