Talk on going, I’m ready to work with Obi, Kwankwaso – Atiku

After meeting with the New Nigerian People Party’s Rabiu Kwankwaso and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi to support his ambition in the upcoming election, Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has hinted that he is prepared to collaborate with them.

In a 15-minute interview with the BBC Hausa service on Tuesday, Atiku made this clear.

Atiku stated in Hausa to the interviewer that neither Obi nor Kwankwaso pose a threat to his chances of winning the election on February 25.

“Although, I see no threat in any of them, we are in talks, and the discussion might yield a positive result that will see one of them come,” despite the fact that “I see no threat in any of them.”

Atiku responded to questions regarding the lingering PDP crisis by stating that every party experiences internal crises, and theirs will not be an exception, but that they are working to resolve all disagreements quickly.

“We are still talking to each party, which has its own internal crisis. The majority do not belong to the PDP or any other party, so we will not lose the election because we are content with the election preparations for the time being.

He added, “Election today is in the hands of the voters, unlike in the past when a governor would dictate who to vote for.”
