Tinubu: Peter Obi’s petition hearing is postponed until Wednesday by the court.

The Labour Party and its candidate, Peter Obi, filed a petition with the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja to nullify Tinubu’s election victory. The pre-hearing session on the petition has been postponed until Wednesday.

The court also set the same date for the Action Peoples Party, or APP, to file a second petition, and it put off until Tuesday the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, and its candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s case.

The court urged the parties to identify all witness statements and documents they would rely on or object to during the petitions’ actual hearing while it adjourned the cases.

Mr. Peter Obi, the LP’s presidential candidate, was one of those present in court to observe the proceedings.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the court disallowed Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong from appearing before it as Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s representative.

The governor of Plateau state stood up and declared himself Tinubu’s representative as soon as the first petition against the outcome of the 2023 presidential election was called up.

“My Master’s I am Simon Lalong and I’m here to address Tinubu,” the lead representative expressed.

However, Justice Haruna Tsammani was in charge of a panel of five people who rejected his nomination as Tinubu’s representative.

“You can’t address a person. The presiding justice stated, “Tinubu is not a corporation that would require a representative.”

“My Masters, all things considered, I will address the All Reformists Congress, APC,” Lead representative Lalong answered.
