We’ve asked God to bring Tinubu down, he doesn’t mean well for us – Aregbesola

Rauf Aregbesola, a former governor of Osun State, has criticized his political ally and leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, over who becomes the state’s next governor.

Aregbesola, who is currently Minister of Interior, gave a speech in Ijebu Ijesa in advance of the APC’s governorship primary to members of the party’s faithful and stakeholders.

Aregbesola addressed the crowd and referred to the incumbent Governor and Gboyega Oyetola as the “useless and corrupt governor in the history of the state.”

In the same way that former Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode was treated in 2019, the minister made it clear that Oyetola would not be allowed to serve another term.

Even though Aregbesola did not specifically mention Tinubu, he addressed the APC National Leader verbally about the political situation in Osun.

According to him, Tinubu abused his position of authority and abruptly assumed the god complex.

“With all of our might, we followed and served this leader. In point of fact, some people had begun to question whether we were no longer Muslims as a result of our loyalty to him,” he stated.

“However, we were with him and served him in accordance with our ancestors’ instruction, which stated that we should serve anyone with sincerity and loyalty; that you must serve him completely if you regard anyone as your principal.

Sadly, we were unaware that, despite our best wishes for him, he did not view us favorably.

However, because we elevated him above where he would normally be, he began to believe that he was our god.

“Unfortunately, for him, we had sworn to God that we would beg God to bring down such a fellow” if anyone compared themselves to him.
