Youth in Nigeria must oppose those who threaten their future—Obasanjo.

Olusegun Obasanjo, the former president of Nigeria, has advised young people not to let those who are ruining their future succeed.
Additionally, Obasanjo urged them to participate in all political and socioeconomic endeavors to alter the narrative.
Kehinde Akinyemi, the spokesperson, said that the former leader spoke at a mentorship retreat hosted by the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Youth Development Center.
He stated that the youth’s latent potential is being hindered by apparent obstacles in the majority of Africa.
Young people were instructed by the previous head of state to never allow another person to determine or shape their place in society.
According to Obasanjo, youths’ energy and spirit should be channeled toward the elimination of physical and mental barriers if they can be motivated to travel through the desert in search of low-paying jobs in Europe.
“As young Africans, I am challenging you to participate in activities that would alter the African narrative.
He added, “Take part in political and socioeconomic activities that ensure a better future for you and prevent those who are destroying your future from succeeding.”
