At an APC campaign rally in Yobe, Buhari reveals that he never knew his father and was an orphan.

On Tuesday, President Muhammadu Buhari made a shocking admission, stating that he was an orphan, that he had no idea who his father was, and that he had attended a boarding school for nine years in order to obtain an education that would have allowed him to join the Nigerian Army.

He made the admission on Tuesday while delivering a speech at the August 27 Stadium in Damaturu for the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign rally.

In an effort to emphasize the significance of education, the President urged the massive crowd at the stadium to send their children to school, stressing that nothing in this world can be taken away except knowledge.

The President made the case for Tinubu and Shettima’s candidacy by claiming that a vote in favor of both party leaders would ensure that the country’s progress in the security, economy, and education sectors would continue.

In addition, Buhari used the campaign to highlight his victories against terrorists in the region and to insist that the APC-led government is more motivated than ever to defeat anyone who threatens Nigeria’s unity.

Buhari told the story in Hausa to the crowd about how Boko Haram destroyed the people, their property, and the economy before the government intervened and the terrorists were wiped out by Nigeria’s armed forces and security forces.

According to Buhari, “Make sure you send your children to school and make them understand that everything you have in this world, except the knowledge you have in your head, can be taken away from you.”

After that, he added: I had no parents; I had never met my father. I attended a boarding school for nine years, and because of my education, I joined the Nigerian Army.

He stated to them: You should work to uphold the children and family God has given you and strengthen your faith. Don’t dishonor that trust.
