Atiku rejected Jonathan’s plea to support his re-election bid in 2015 – Wike

According to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, former President Goodluck Jonathan begged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to back his re-election campaign in 2015.
Wike, on the other hand, made it clear that Jonathan’s requests for support for Atiku’s reelection campaign were not accepted.
When Ebonyi State Governor Dave Umahi commissioned the Akpabu-Itu-Umudiogha road in the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers, the governor spoke.
Wike stated,Jonathan intended to meet Atiku at the Dorchester Hotel in London, but the former vice president instead instructed Jonathan to give him his 2015 ticket.
President Muhammadu Buhari defeated PDP presidential candidate Jonathan in the 2015 election.
In the meantime, Jonathan had been visited a few days ago by Atiku and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) crisis is not unrelated to the visit.
Since losing his bid to become the PDP’s presidential candidate, Wike has clashed with Atiku and the party’s leadership.
