Atiku urges INEC to remain firm, resist pressure

Chief Dele Momodu, the Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council’s Director of Strategic Communications, has, on behalf of the council, urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to resist the undue pressure that is being placed on it by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to subvert the freely expressed will of Nigerians on Saturday.

During an ongoing media briefing in Abuja, Momodu made the appeal.

The Atiku Campaign praised INEC for its performance thus far.

It was mentioned that the APC had been fatally wounded in the North-West, North-East, and South-East as well. As a result, the APC could not make up enough votes to claim victory.

He explained that the PDP is performing well, with the exception of the South-East, where the Labour Party is clearly winning.

He asserts that only the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has achieved the necessary threshold of obtaining 25% of the votes in 25 states across geopolitical zones and is still optimistic about victory.
