Terrorism and treason charges that Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is facing in the Nigerian Federal High Court in Abuja are likely to move to a tougher level following addition of a new Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) to his legal team.
Aloy Ejimakor, a special counsel for the separatist leader announced the additional SAN to the legal team.
Ejimakor, in a tweet on Monday, gave the name of the new SAN as Chukwuma Machukwu Umeh, adding that the visit to Kanu in the Department of State Services (DSS) on Monday was very fruitful.
He said, “Just exited from a groundbreaking visitation with Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
“It was groundbreaking because we covered many new grounds, including the addition of Chukwuma Machukwu Umeh (SAN) to the Legal Team. Onyendu sends his love & felicitation to all his true followers.”
