“Biafra War Ceased To Exist About 52 Years Ago” I Am Not Part Of Self-Determination For Biafra. I am a Nigerian vying for Nigerian presidency—Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has stated that he will not support the realization of Biafra, a persistent call for self-determination in South-East Nigeria.

 

Obi responded, “I am a Nigerian,” when asked if he would advocate for the Biafran Republic as president during a Monday interview with the Brekete Family Show in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

 

The “Biafra war ceased to exist approximately 52 years ago and it remains so,” according to the former governor of Anambra State. I’m from Nigeria. I’m running as a Nigerian candidate.

I have stated that those who are agitating, whether in the North, South-East, or Southwest, Injustice, unfairness, marginalization, poverty—whatever you want to call it—is the cause of agitation everywhere. Agitation is bound to occur.

 

Reiterating his promise to engage in dialogue with all agitators in the country, Obi stated that if elected president, his sole concern would be a new Nigeria for all.

 

“I said I would talk to all of them (agitators) and consult with them,” I want to create a new Nigeria, and people will be proud of it. I promised to solve the problems in the north and southwest because of this. Obi stated, “I want Nigerians to be able to travel with their passports and be proud of being Nigerians.”
