BREAKING: Bandits kill six travelers, abduct scores in Kaduna fresh attack

Barely 24 hours after suspected bandits attacked a convoy along Birnin-Gwari highway in Kaduna State, abducted traders on their way to Kano, bandits, again on Thursday attacked motorcyclists on Birnin-Gwari highway, killed six and abducted several others

Six persons are believed to have been killed in the attack while many travellers were abducted.

According to one of the motorcyclist, who spoke to DAILY POST in Kaduna on Thursday evening, Alhaji Musa Idris said he narrowly escaped being Kidnapped.

According to him, “what saved me was, while I was coming from Birni Gwari, my car tyre bursted, and I have to fix it with spare tyre. The little delay due to tyre burst helped me. Bandits had already operated before I arrived at the scene.”

According to him, the incident happened at Unguwar Geda, few metres from Zankoro, a dreaded location along the highway, around 3pm, on Thursday.

He said, many passengers were abducted after killing six passengers.

‎”As I’m speaking to you now, I can confirm six people dead and we don’t know how many were abducted.

Also, a resident of Udawa, Alhaji Musa, confirmed that his younger brother was also killed.

“It’s terrible; they killed my brother; we just received his copse and we are preparing to bury him,” he said.

Kaduna State Public Relations Officer, ASP Jalige Mohammed did not pick his calls and did not respond to text messages sent to him.
