Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the lawyer for the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, escaped another assassination attempt.
The lawyer who disclosed this in a message on Sunday, said the new assassination attempt on his life was brutal, but did not give more details about the incident.
“My family, friends and well wishers joined me today in THANKSGIVING to God Almighty for sparing my life once again,” he said in a statement published on his verified Facebook page on Sunday.
“My life is a subject of unending testimonies. Few days ago, I survived yet another BRUTAL ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT on my life. When I say Brutal, I mean BRUTAL in every sense of it, but the Almighty Chukwuokike Abiama yet again SPARED MY LIFE.
“I still plead with close friends and family with this detail to keep it to themselves to avoid jeopardizing the ongoing investigation.
“Believe me, it was a direct attack on me that would have taken me away from the surface of this earth. I CAN’T indeed APPRECIATE GOD ENOUGH.
“I, and my bossom friend that was caught under the fireworks of the evil monsters, escaped the scene without any scratch on our bodies, as the Mighty Man of War, the Almighty Chukwuokike Abiama bore it all.
“Hear this Umuchineke, No mortal can put an end to my life. This is my divine pact with my Chi, the Almighty ONE who created me. No matter their evil conspiracies against me, it will only spur me more because I am on a divine mandate to rescue humanity and no one will stop it.
“Therefore Umuchineke, please join me once again in PRAISES of THANKSGIVING to the Almighty Chukwuokike Abiama for doing that, which only Him can do,” he added.
Ejiofor had previously escaped several assassination attempts by Nigerian security agents who raided his home and killed his assistant alongside several other people.
Authorities are yet to bring perpetrators of previous attacks to justice.
