BREAKING: IPOB suspends sit-at-home as ordered by Nnamdi Kanu

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has suspended their sit-at-home which was to be held every Monday in the southeast until the release of its detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Chika Edoziem, the separatist group’s head of Directorate Of State, who disclosed this on a broadcast Friday, said it was an order from Kanu who is in DSS custody.

According to the report by OAK METRO,  Kanu called for the suspension of the lockdown through Ifeanyi Ejiofor, his lawyer.

Edoziem in the broadcast on Radio Biafra, said the sit-at-home will now be held on the days when the leader of the IPOB appears in court.

Meanwhile, Nnamdi Kanu’s brother Emmanuel Kanu called the announcement a welcome development.

The Kanu’s family, which had previously called for the sit-at-home to be suspended, noted that the lockdown will begin when Nnamdi Kanu appears in court “if at all there would be any.”
