BREAKING: Okorocha’s In-law, Uche Nwosu Wins in Court

SAHARANEWS – A High Court sitting in Owerri, the Imo State capital has struck out suits brought by a Chief Myke Ikoku and Mr. Leonard Okolienta challenging the nomination of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu as the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance.



Dismissing the suits, the presiding judge, Hon Justice T.N Nzeukwu agreed with the counsels to the Action Alliance, Malachy Nwaekpe esq and Ms. Sharon Anyaduba that Ugwumba Uche Nwosu was duly nominated in line with the Constitution of the Action Alliance, thereby dismissing their suits for lack of merit and being statute barred.

SaharaNews recalls that Chief Myke Ikoku, who is the governorship candidate of the YDP and Mr. Leonard Okolienta had instituted different suits challenging the nomination of His Excellency Ugwumba Uche Nwosu as the governorship candidate of the AA, however, the court averred that the issue of nomination of candidates for elective positions is entirely an internal affair of a political Party and awarded a cost of 200,000 Naira against Chief Myke Ikoku.
