Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, Muhammad Sanusi Barkindo, is dead. He passed on around 11pm on Tuesday.
His demise was reported in the early long stretches of Wednesday by NNPC GMD, Mele Kyari.
Kyari tweeted, “We lost our regarded Dr Muhammad Sanusi Barkindo. He passed on at around 11pm yesterday fifth July 2022. Positively an incredible misfortune to his close family, the NNPC, our nation Nigeria, the OPEC and the worldwide energy local area. Internment courses of action will be declared without further ado.”
Barkindo was on Tuesday portrayed by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) as a commendable representative of the nation, when he got him at the State House.
Barkindo’s residency as OPEC Secretary General reaches a conclusion on July 31.
