BREAKING: Soldiers, police flee as gunmen storm Imo communities

Heavy gunfire in some communities in Imo state on Monday forced soldiers to take cover as the identity of the attackers remains unknown.

People ran to safety as gunmen storm Naze in the state’s Owerri North local government area.

Reports from Orlu communities and other communities indicate that there is gunfire and the presence of armed men.

“The soldiers fled when they saw the gunmen,” said Desmond Uchenna, a resident of Naze who said the violence is still ongoing.
