Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have kidnapped the priest of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Rev. Father Godfrey Mark Chimezie in Abia State.
The priest was kidnapped along Enyiukwu Road Ohokobe Afaraukwu Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government Area.
Church authorities who confirmed the incident on Wednesday said the priest was abducted after conducting an early morning mass at St Gabriel, Okpururie in Afaraukwu.
The kidnappers left after forcing the priest out of his vehicle to get into their jeep, an eyewitness told OAK METRO.
