Pressure has persevered in Oyigbo, the Local Government Area in Rivers State, which went under assaults by gangsters recognized as individuals from the disbanded Indigeneous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).

Bosses in the committee at the end of the week communicated fears that the escaping IPOB individuals could refocus and re-visitation of the territory.

“On twelfth of November, 2020 we met with the Local Government Chairman, Gerald Aforji, advising him regarding our situation. We don’t need Army to be removed to serve Oyigbo individuals.

“We should be cautious about the leftovers of IPOB fear based oppressors. We express gratitude toward Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for forcing the time limit which has quieted down the circumstance in Oyigbo.”

Also,High Chief, Lisbery Onyegorom, portrayed that indigenes of Oyigbo were still in stun following the wanton annihilation released on their locale by individuals from the prohibited IPOB.

On his part, the Chairman of Oyigbo Local Government Area, Prince Gerald Oforji said a large portion of the negative reports were unwarranted.

“Today, I am exceptionally cheerful for the visit by the Ovation family to survey the wanton annihilation completed on the 20 October by the IPOB. Today ,they have come to survey and see things for themselves dependent on unbalanced data they have been getting concerning Oyigbo.

“I accept with what they have seen today, the world, can affirm that the vast majority of those negative data posted against Oyigbo, against Rivers State, are unwarranted.”
