BREAKING:Hoodlums invade Atiku rally, supporters injured

On Monday, a fight between members of a local gang known as the Kalare Boys and supporters of Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who was in Gombe for his presidential campaign, resulted in at least three injuries of varying severity.
Along Pantami Stadium Road, three vehicles—a bus, a car, and a Keke NAPEP—were ambushed and damaged.
Usman Muritala, the state’s People’s Democratic Party’s publicity secretary, claimed that because he was not involved in the planning of the campaign, he was unaware.
“I sat like every other person to watch the entire show because I was only there as a party official and not on the podium. He stated, “The party is divided, and it’s a big one.”
Trouble started when Abubakar and his entourage left Pantami Stadium for Bauchi through Gate Number Two.
The Kalare boys, armed with clubs, cutlasses, swords, and other weapons, attacked party supporters on their way to their homes.
A detachment of armed police officers who were manning Gate Number One of the stadium quickly moved to the second gate to protect fans who were rushing back into the stadium for safety.
While the Kalare boys attacked people as they blocked the road to Pantami Market and Government House, a large number of supporters were left stranded at the stadium while they waited for the police to restore order.

Atiku said, “I’ll end Boko Haram.” In the past, Atiku had said that he would restore peace to Gombe by putting an end to the activities of Boko Haram and improving the dam in the state.
He stated, “I promise you that if you elect me, what we have started, I will ensure that the electricity that will be provided from Dakin-Kowa Dam will be sufficient for the entire North-East” (I promise you that if you elect me, what we have started).I will make farming better so that our farmers can farm both when it rains and when it doesn’t.
