BREAKING:NPC recruitment portal for adhoc staff closes Dec 28 – Commissioner

The e-recruitment portal for ad hoc staff for the 2023 Population and Housing Census, according to the National Population Commission (NPC), will close on December 28.

This was stated by Mr. Chidi Ezeoke, the Federal Commissioner who represents Anambra State in the Commission, at the beginning of the Zonal Level Training of Principal Trainers, which was held for ten days on Monday in Awka.

Ezeoke advised qualified applicants to take advantage of the date extension, which was extended to December 28 in order to accommodate additional applicants who were interested in applying.

We previously stated that the recruitment portal would be shut down on December 10. However, after the board met, they decided to extend it until December 28 so that more people could apply and register, he stated.

He stated that the facilitators, who would then instruct state supervisors and enumerators, required the training.

According to Ezeoke, the training’s goals include adequately teaching the exercise’s concept and definitions and preparing second-level trainers for standardized census training.

“The training will also include first-hand guides for field operations, comprehensive instructions on how to use census data collection and applications, and clear guidelines for the field enumeration procedures for the census.

According to Ezeoke, “this training is put together to enhance the participants’ technical and managerial capacity as well as skills to teach other field functionaries for the success of the census.”

Dr. Joachim Ulasi, the Anambra State Director of the NPC, stated in his remarks that the exercise had 252 participants, including 227 trainees, 25 facilitators, and Zonal Coordinators.
