Greater part of the Twitter clients, who took part in a survey set up by Elon Musk have decided in favor of his ouster as CEO Office, President of the miniature publishing content to a blog stage.
On Sunday, billionaire Tesla Inc. founder Elon Musk launched a survey to see if he should continue as CEO.
According to the survey’s conclusion on Monday, 57.5 percent of the 17.5 million participants requested his departure.
Musk had previously stated that he would adhere to the poll’s conclusions.
Should I resign as Twitter’s CEO? When he put up the poll, he asked Twitter users, “I will abide by the results of this poll.”
Musk agreed to buy Twitter for $44 billion in April 2022, becoming CEO of the microblogging platform, in what has been dubbed a contentious acquisition.
In a statement, the company said that investors received $54.20 for each Twitter share they owned as part of the deal.
After the transaction was completed, Twitter also became a privately held company.
Following his elevation to the position of CEO, Musk implemented a number of radical policies, the first of which was the firing of Twitter’s three top executives less than a day after the platform’s acquisition.
Following that, the billionaire went on a massive global layoff spree, cutting 3,700 jobs at Twitter’s newly established Africa headquarters.
The introduction of a verification policy by Musk, which requires users to pay at least $8 in order to obtain the blue badge, marked a further shift in tone.
Despite Musk’s claim that he bought the social media platform to support free speech, he has faced a lot of criticism since taking over the company.
