Buhari, APC’ve kept promise of relegating Nigeria – Ortom

The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has arraigned the President, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) and his decision All Progressives Congress for staying true to their commitment of consigning the country in their declaration to Nigerians.

In a proclamation endorsed by the lead representative’s Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur, Ortom said, “As a group, Nigerians need to have a practical option in contrast to the ongoing yield of pioneers among the decision party.”

Ortom noticed that the APC would lose the races in 2023 in light of the fact that the party had performed wretchedly in the beyond a long time since it took over power from the Peoples Democratic Party.

“They (APC) have stayed faithful to their obligation to take Nigeria through and through. They have taken our country underneath the base. It’s a major disgrace. For us in the PDP, the onus lays on us to retouch the breaks in our party. No outside impact will do that for us. By the finesse of God, we will arrive at a fruitful end so we can continue on,” he added.

Talking on the issues and difficulties that might emerge in the impending decisions, Ortom said it was significant for the Independent National Electoral Commission to stay impartial and proficient.

He kept up with refering to models in the fair closed Ekiti and Osun states’ races, supporting the cycles while charging the commission to adhere to the guidelines of commitment in the 2023 general political decision.

“Insofar as INEC is however expert and unbiased as it might have been in Osun and Ekiti states, I don’t see the APC winning the races,” he said.

Ortom expressed his more than 40 years of involvement with grassroots legislative issues and even at the state and public levels had demonstrated the way that the APC can’t win the 2023 surveys.
