Court Grants ₦200 Million To Yobe Young lady Shocked By MTN Link

A high court in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, has granted N200 million as remuneration to a 12-year-old young lady, Hamsatu Abdullahi, who was shocked by a link having a place with media transmission monster, MTN.

The Nigeria Power Responsibility Management Organization (NELMCO) is a co-litigant in the suit.

The wounds Miss Abdullahi supported in the occurrence prompted removal of both her hands and one of her
legs.
Her dad Abdullahi Koki looked for change from the house high court after her little girl’s electric shock at a MTN office before the offended party’s home.

Mr Koki said he had grumbled about the refering to of a pole before his home yet was overlooked. The occurrence happened in 2012 at Chumbusko Village in Karasuwa nearby government area of Yobe state.

The appointed authority, Lawu Lawan, granted the N200 million damages together and against MTN Nigeria Ltd and Nigeria Power Responsibility Management for Hamsatu.

The judgment read to some extent: “I hold that the offended party has properly settled by oral and narrative tenable and unchallenged proof against the respondents.
“I similarly hold that the offended party is qualified for claims from the litigants mutually and severally as redressing or general damages for the long-lasting disablement through the deficiency of her two hands, right leg, persistent torments clinical treatment, agony, shock and constant mental injury and loss of conveniences of life brought about by the respondents’ demonstration and oversights.”
