‘Don’t travel to North’ — Southwest elders tells Yorubas

A SOUTH-WEST socio-political group, Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum, has cautioned indigenes of the South, especially in the South-West to be extremely careful about their travel plan to the northern region because of escalating state of insecurity in the North.

President of Yoruba Ronu Leadership Forum, Mr. Akin Malaolu, yesterday, said the decision to warn southerners against travelling to the North was based on recent development on insecurity, which showed that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration had lost all its strategies to bring to bear the hellish brigandage that has remained in motion defying solutions.

The Ilana Omo Oodua said it had written to the United Nations (UN), European Union (EU), African Union (AU), Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), United Kingdom (UK) and United States (U.S.) to attend the Lagos rally as observers.
