Unidentified gunmen attacked and killed another commander of Ebubeagu, a local vigilante group established by some southeastern state governors.
According to GIST BRIEFLY, the security outfit commander whose name was given as Magnus Iganda was shot dead at his home in Ezza North Local Government Area in Ebonyi State.
Residents said they found Iganda’s body after the gunmen stormed his home in the early hours of Wednesday and shot him dead.
“We heard gunshots and later found his body lying in a pool of blood,” a resident said.
No suspects have been apprehended in the incident which is the latest in Ebonyi State where residents accuse Ebubeagu officers of extrajudicial executions and other crimes.
