Ebube Agu Security Outfit Won’t Be Disbanded–Abia Government.

The Abia state government says it won’t disband the Ebube Agu security outfit.

Sopuruchi Bekee, Abia chief for country security, expressed this on Tuesday in the midst of fights requesting the disbandment of Ebube Agu.

The security outfit was set up in April 2021 by the south-east lead representatives to handle weakness in the geo-political zone.

In any case, lately, reports of erratic killings have been connected to faculty of the security outfit.

In July 2022, Amnesty International had approached the national government to examine charges of extrajudicial killings including Ebube Agu agents.

The basic freedoms support bunch made the interest a couple of days after certain people, said to marry visitors, were purportedly killed by Ebube Agu agents in Otulu in Oru east LGA of Imo state.

In the beyond couple of days, dissidents have rampaged in pieces of the south-east, including Imo, looking for the disbandment of the security outfit.
As per NAN, on Tuesday in Abia, dissidents united on Ariaria global market, from which they traveled through Faulks street, Aba-Owerri street, Brass street to Aba north LGA, reciting hostile to Ebube Agu melodies.

The dissidents likewise blamed Ebube Agu for being a “lethal outfit”.
