Forget Obasanjo’s statements; Mumuni, the APC chieftain, is looking for relevance.

Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, who is a member of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council’s Security and Intelligence Committee, has advised Nigerians not to be bothered by the recent statements made by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

On Monday, Mumuni, who was the 2011 gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State for the now-defunct Congress for Progressives Congress (CPC), disclosed this information.

Everyday POST reviews that Obaasanjo had on Sunday, in a letter, pronounced that he will uphold the Work Party official competitor, Mr. Peter Obi in the following general races.

However, in his response, the APC leader advised Nigerians not to be bothered by the former president’s recent statements “because age is telling on him.”

Mumuni insisted that the former president was looking for relevance in 2023 and stated that Obasanjo has no political value once more.

In a statement that was made available to DAILY POST on Monday night, the head of the APC stated, “People should forget about him.” The statements made by Obasanjo should be forgotten. Baba currently has no value. We shouldn’t annoy. He is getting old. Age has a psychological impact on him.

“Baba is trying to find meaning. He wants people to give him business. He is looking for relevance because he has realized that the serious candidates do not have time for him.

He has nothing more to offer because his time has passed. Baba that even fell short in his unit of voting. So, what is his significance now?

He is now a bad market. Because he does not endorse anyone, Obasanjo cannot win any elections in Ogun State.

He is a bad market, so he ought to relax somewhere. Tinubu is still the one to beat.
