God is Angry, Calamity is coming If you don’t free Nnamdi Kanu—Father Mbaka

Reverend Fr., the Spiritual Director of the Catholic Adoration Chaplaincy in Enugu, Due to the ongoing detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Ejike Mbaka has issued a dire warning to President Muhammadu Buhari.

During his First Sunday sermon, Mbaka lashed out at the fact that the government decides which judgments to follow and which to ignore.

He stated that because of what God will do to the people responsible for Kanu’s continued detention, they will live to regret their actions for the rest of their lives.

After eight months of canonical penance, the outspoken cleric returned to the Adoration Ground in January and stated that the difficulties the President Muhammadu Buhari administration and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, had imposed on Nigerians due to a lack of new naira notes were not justified.

“Only in Nigeria can the court set someone free and the government say ‘no, keep that person,'” he stated.

“We pray for Nnamdi Kanu’s complete release; Ndigbo are suffering as a result of something they are unaware of; Workers and students will not report for work; Mondays are when everyone is locked up; Our leaders have no concern; They do not care about it. How can you claim that you do not care about it? However, you’re a leader; You have to care.

“What God will do to you, you will regret your decision if God sets someone free and you say the person won’t be free.

Why the judicial branch? The executive, legislature, and judiciary are the three branches of government; one branch will claim that the other is ineffective. In the name of God and with the help of the Holy Spirit, I ask that our leaders free Nnamdi Kanu.

“There is a problem—the judiciary is dying—and we cannot be distracted by new currency and fuel scarcity. If the government says “no” and the court can acquit someone, the country is over. As a man of God, I stand to say, release him. It is a coup d’état against the judiciary.

“Do the necessary; Our so-called leaders continue to cause our people great suffering throughout the nation; I am a prophet of God, not a politician. When God is happy, I will speak and act as His spokesperson, and when God is enraged, it is my duty to speak as His spokesperson. The masses of the poor are in pain.

“Why not release that young man, if holding him will cripple this nation; The case of Nnamdi Kanu is like a gun’s trigger; When a gun is loaded, you must be careful when you touch the trigger.

Don’t let anyone know that he is a nobody; The court has ordered his release because he represents a people; Considering his health, why not let him go?

“I must speak out so that when the leaders begin to suffer tomorrow, they won’t ask, “What did Fr. Mbaka, you say?’
