How unknown fire-man set train on fire in Kwara and ran away

Two coaches were affected when an unidentified man set a train on fire and fled the scene in Kwara State.

According to OAK METRO, 15 coaches were on board the train when the incident occurred in Offa on Wednesday.

Hakeem Adekunle, chief executive of the Kwara State Fire Department, who confirmed the incident, said the train was faulty and was being repaired when the incident occurred.

“We gathered it was deliberate act. But, we were able to put off the fire and rescue the train after two of the coaches had caught fire,” he said.
