‘I was pursued out of office, can never be President again’ – Goodluck Jonathan

Former President Goodluck JONATHANathan has explained why he would not run for president again, despite rumors that he will return to power.

Because he was removed from office in 2015, Jonathan stated that he cannot run for office again.

The former president stated that by selecting a form and resuming lobbying and election campaigning, he would diminish himself.

This was stated in Nathaniel Bivan’s book “My Time As Chaplain In Aso Rock,” which recounted the experiences of Obioma Onwuzurumba, the Chaplain of the Aso Rock Villa Chapel during Jonathan’s time.

On Tuesday, the book was made available to the public.

Jonathan, on the other hand, said that he enjoyed the drama because he would never be able to be president again, and he commented on the group that purchased the All Progressives Congress, or APC, presidential nomination form for N100 million.

Prior to the party’s primary election, a group known as the Nomadic Pastoralists and the Almajirai community had purchased the N100 million APC nomination forms for Jonathan.

“I was enjoying the drama,” Jonathan declared. They aren’t insulting me, at least. After all, I was told I wasn’t good enough to leave the office. Therefore, if Nigerians are presently stating, “Oh, this man should come,” this indicates that they are tidying me up. Please allow me to enjoy the drama.

“If you wake up tomorrow and find that I am once more president, it may be because of circumstances beyond my control.” But not to pick a single form, start influencing people, and move across Nigeria to run for campaigns, whether PDP power or APC broom. I cannot repeat that; I will diminish myself if I do that.
